Answer- RESOURCES- Anything that satisfies human needs is called Resources.
Resources can be classified into 3 categories: Natural, Human and Human-made resources.
1) Natural Resources- The resources drawn for nature and used without any modification are called Natural Resources like: air we breathe, water we drink, etc.
2) Human Resources- People are themselves an important resource as their ideas and skills can make more inventions.
3) Human-made Resources- People use natural resources to make buildings, bridges, dams, etc. to create human resources.

Natural Resources can be furthered classified into 4 more categories:
On the basis of:
i) LEVEL OF DEVELOPMENT AND USE:- Actual and Potential Resources -->
Actual Resources- The resources being used at present and they have a known quantity are actual resources. E.g.- Rich deposits of coal in Ruhr region of Germany, etc.
Potential Resources- The resources not being used in present and have no known quantity are potential resources. E.g.- Uranium in Ladakh.
ii) ORIGIN:- Biotic and Abiotic Resources-->
Biotic Resources- Living things are Biotic Resources like: plants and animals.
Abiotic Resources- Non-living things are Abiotic Resources like: soil, rocks, etc.
iii) STOCK:- Renewable and Non-Renewable Resources-->
Renewable Resources- Resources which can be replenished after their continual use like: water, wind and solar energy.
Non-Renewable Resources- Resources which can't be renewed after their continual use like: coal, natural gas, etc.
iv) DISTRIBUTION:- Ubiquitous and Localized Resources-->
Ubiquitous Resources- The resources like air which are present everywhere are ubiquitous resources.
Localized Resources- The resources like iron ore which are present at a particular place are localized resources.
