Swelling up of a raisin on keeping in water is classified into osmosis because the salt concentration inside the raisin is more than the concentration in the water in which it is placed. So the outside water enter into the raisin and it swells as osmosis is defined as the movement of water molecules from lower concentration to higher concentration in the presence of semi permeable membrane.
