There are mainly five different types of biomes and their characteristics vary from each other.
These five types of biomes are classified as Aquatic Biome, Desert Biome, Forest Biome, Tundra Biome and Grasslands Biome.
For example an Aquatic Biome covers regions of the world where the main constituent is water, including both fresh and salt water.
It can be further sub-divided freshwater biomes, marine biomes, wetland biomes, coral reef biomes, and estuaries
