Clear and transparent water may and may not always fit for drinking. Water could appear to be clean, but it could contain some of the disease causing micro-organisms as well as other dissolved impurities.

It is advised to purify the water before drinking it. Purification of the water can be done by boiling the water or by the water purifying systems.

You cannot be 100% sure that every clear water is safe for drinking, provided it is filtered using water purifier. The water that looks clean might contain harmful micro-organisms and if you drink it, you would definitely fall sick or you might become prey to several waterborne diseases. So, instead of risking your health, you can get a purifier and at filter the clean water to make it free from micro-organisms and then consume it.
