The clinical triad of uveitis, glaucoma, and hyphema, especially associated with early AC IOL, has been well described as UGH syndrome. Glaucoma is believed to be caused by movement of the IOL against the iris causing the release of inflammatory and red blood cell debris that obstruct the trabecular meshwork.
