Cloning can be both used as a boon or a bane for the mankind. If it is used for the benifits of the mankind, it can be used as a boon while if it used by the gene pirates which can result in the formation of a complete individual or species which is not required or unfit or bad for the mankind it will be considered as a bane for the mankind. So depending on the status how we use the benifits of cloning it can be used both as a boon or bane to the mankind.

Cloning is the process by which two identical biological species of same genetic types are created either naturally or artificially.

Cloned organisms have similar genes but their appearances may be different. Cloning can be both a boon and a curse.

It is a boon in saving the endangered species of plants and animals.

It aided in the development of species Alpine Ibex and Bucardoa and prevents their extinction.

Cloning also helps in the replacement of damaged tissues by new ones.

But some consider cloning to be a curse.

Human cloning is an illegal process as there are chances of misuse.

Stem cells even have similar properties like that of cancer cells which can reduce the life expectancy of the clone.
