Explanation:

Simple.because in summer the temperature is high so the air can absorb more moisture.in winters humidity(moisture in air)is lowand temperature is low so evaporation is slower

Clothes get dry faster in summer than in winter because of the process of evaporation.

  • Evaporation is a process where a liquid turns into vapour upon heating. When a mixture of water and solid substances is heated, water is converted into water vapour and the solid substances remain behind.
  • During summer there is a lot of Sunlight which increases the heat and ultimately speeds up the evaporation process. The water from the clothes get evaporated and helps to dry the clothes faster
  • During the winter season, the weather is cold and wet clothes may freeze. This can happen due to the process of freezing.
  • The clothes still get dry because the moisture evaporates into water vapour leaving behind dry clothing.
