for young students things are 'living' if they move or grow; for example, the sun, wind, clouds and lightning are considered living because they change and move. Others think plants and certain animals are non-living.
Clouds are alive with tiny bacteria that grab up water vapor in the atmosphere to make cloud droplets, especially at warmer temperatures, a new study shows. The water droplets and ice crystals that make up clouds don't usually form spontaneously in the atmosphere — they need a solid or liquid surface to collect on.

So you want to ask that even clouds move and change their shape and size, why they are considered to be non - living...?
There are many other things that are needed to say whether anything is alive or not.
Like clouds robots also move, but they are not alive...!
Many points are kept in mind before saying that something is alive.
Some of those points are :
1.) Metabolism
2.) Molecular Movement
3.) Response to stimuli
4.) Reproduction
5.) Evolution
6.) Growth, etc
If something shows these characters, then it may be considered to be living...
Hope this helps you...✌
