CM is a MP or MlC or MlA?
Answers
Your Solution:
MP - Member of Parliament. He can be member of Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha. The party whose no. of MPs in Lok Sabha are above 50% of the total seats becomes the ruling party of centre. MPs have bigger constituencies than MLAs. Rajya Sabha MPs are elected by MLAs of a particular state, Councillors, etc whereas Lok Sabha MPs are elected by people in the general election.
MLA- Member of Legislative Assembly. When there are state elections, the candidate of any political party who wins from a particular area is a member of legislative assembly. The party whose no. of MLAs are above 50% of the total seats becomes the ruling party of state. The duty of MLA is to take care of various things of his/her constituency or seat.
MLC- Member of Legislative Council. Like there is a state legislative assembly, there is a state Legislative Council. They both are like Lok Sabha And RajyaSabha respectively. The members of LC are not elected by people but by the MLA, Mayors, Councillors of that particular state. The Legislative council is present only in big states like Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, etc.
