Co2 is a gas. Write any two of its properties to justify this. Solid co2 is also known as dry ice, why?

CO2 has neither fixed volume nor a fixed shape and is hence a gas. It exerts pressure due to collision of the molecules.

Solid Carbon dioxide is called dry ice because it resembles ice, but carbon dioxide does not exist in liquid form, it sublimes straight from a solid to a gas. Hence "Dry Ice". It sublimes at –78°C becoming an extremely cold gas. It is often used in theatres or nightclubs to produce clouds, it looks a bit like smoke.
