Co2 plus h20 gives h2co3 in absence of enzyme this reaction is very slow with 200 molecules of h2co3 being formed in hour.in presence of enzyme the reaction speeds up dramatically with about 600000 molecules formed evry second select the enzyme which has accelerated up the reaction by 10 million times

Answer:

Carbonic anhydrase is  the enzyme which has accelerated up the reaction by 10 million times.

Explanation:

  • Enzymes are biologicals catalysts. Presence of enzymes increase  the rate of chemical reaction.
  • The given reaction is catalyzed by carbonic anhydrase.
  • The carbonic anhydrases (or carbonate dehydratases) is a family of enzymes that catalyzes the reaction between CO2 and water .
  • By using the enzyme present within the cytoplasm, the reaction speeds up dramatically with about 600,000 molecules formed every second.
  • We can say that the  carbonic anhydrases has accelerated the reaction rate by about 10 million times.
