This question is based on the poem 'The Cold Within' by James Patrick Kinney.
In the poem, six humans were trapped together on a cold and bitter night. The lighted a fire to save themselves fro the biting cold. Each of them possessed a log of wood and the need of the hour was to feed the fire with more logs of wood so that it doesn't die out. However, due to discrimination based on race, caste, creed, and social status, each of the six humans refused to part with their log of wood. As a result, the fire died out and they all froze to death because of the cold or hatred within themselves.
