Tyndall effect can be performed to test whether given mixture is solution , suspension, colloidal .
True solution will not show Tyndall effect. Where as colloidal will show Tyndall effect and suspension in stable position can show Tyndall effect.
Based on the observation, we can classify:
True Solutions: Brass utensils[Zinc +copper], Air we breathe, Salt solution, sugar solution, Vinegar[Acetic acid in water], soda water, carbonated drinks.
Suspensions:
Milk of magnesia[Magnesium hydroxide in water], Cough or cold syrup or antibiotic medicine.
colloids:
Hairspray,Paints,milk,shaving cream, butter,sponge,hair gel,jellies,gelatine, Bread,Foam rubber.
