Generic drugs are the ones which don’t have big brand names, which doesn’t have advertisement and the cost is very much cheap. For example, there are medicines available for cancer sold by the government is much cheaper than the ones sold by the private hospitals. These medicines have the same chemical formula as the branded ones. So, next time when the pharmacist recommends a generic medicine, check for the chemical formula and not the name.
