historical trade route, and it extends more than 4000 miles from East, West and
South Asia to Mediterranean. The name silk road or silk route came from the
principal trade of the route, which was Chinese silk. The silk was brought from
China and was sold to Europe; however other luxury items were also turned in between
the different part of the routes.
