*washing of clothes in Ganga
*bathing of cows and buffaloes in Ganga
*industrial waste is directly dumped into Ganga without treatment
*sewage is directly dumped into Ganga
*people throw garbage from their homes in Ganga
*Due to all these Ganga is losing it's capacity of self cleaning.
Govt. has taken many measures to prevent it..some of the approaches are:-
