On Sanyuktha and Prithviraj:  

• Sanyukta was the daughter of Jaichand, the King of Kannauj, and a character in Prithviraj Raso, a medieval Indian epic romance.  
• Prithviraj, also known as Rai Pithora, was a powerful Rajput monarch.
• He was in charge of the old Chahamana realm of Sapadalaksha.

The legend of Sanyuktha and Prithviraj:  

• Prithviraj and Sanyukta liked each other

• As soon as Jaichand found out, he began making plans for her wedding with someone else.
• He arranged a swayamvara, a ritual in which a young woman chooses a marriage from a list of candidates picked by her father.
• Several princes were invited by Jaichand, but Prithviraj was left out on purpose.
• He placed a statue of the king as the doorman at the entrance to further humiliate him.
• Sanyukta approached the statue and wrapped the bridal garland around the statue's neck.

• The real Prithivraj appeared from behind it as soon as she did, hoisted her up onto his horse, and galloped away.
