In Andhra Pradesh, 60% of the cultivated area is covered by crops like pulses, millets, cotton, oil seeds etc. and they involve dry-land agriculture.

It is important to assess the area of cultivation and the fertility of the soil before a manure or fertilizer is used.

Most of the time chemical fertilizers like nitrogenous fertilizers which emit nitrogen and methane are used along with DAP, potash for agriculture in these areas.

Also, urea, super phosphate, BPH, and carbofuran 4G granules are used as pesticides.

Weedicides like butachlor, anilophos, and 2,4-DEE granules are used.

Fertilizers are used because of the lack of vital nutrients in the soil ,in order to fertile the agricultural lands. Most of the time nitrogenous fertilizers are used in in the lands. The fertilizers like urea and DAP (Di-ammonium phoosphate) are most widely used .
Also the  calcium ammonium nitrate as well as the  ammonium chloride  and ammonium sulphate are also popular agricultural products.
Basically the NPK (Nitrogen Phosphorus Potassium) complexes are used for the soils for better yield.
