The part of the eye called Cornea collects light and either bends or refracts the light.

Another part of the eye called pupil controls the quantity of light that is requires to enter into the eye.

A lens is present behind the pupil which is responsible for focussing the light on retina.

The photoreceptor cells present in retina help to turn the light into electrical signals.

The reflecting telescope collects the light passing to the object.

Explanation:

The reflecting telescope is used as a mirror to help the astronomer to view the entire subject-based object or object of research purpose. This is basically used to locate the far-away object in the space.

The first mirror is used for providing a very wide image and reflects the image to another mirror. Hence reflecting telescope is used to collect the light passing through the object.
