Jawaharlal Nehru was the first Prime Minister of India. He became the Prime Minister of India on 15th August 1947.He served our nation for 17 years. From 1947 to 27th May 1964.
On 27th of May 1964 Indians got their second Prime Minister of India as Gulzari lal Nanda. He remain Prime Minister of India from 27thMay 1964 to 9th June 1964.on 9th June 1964 Lal Bahadur Shastri was chosen as the third Prime Minister of India.he served our nation as a Prime Minister from 9th June 1964 to 11th January 1966 that is 2 year.again on 11th January 1966 election was again done and gulzarilal Nanda was again chosen as the Prime Minister of India.gulzarilal Nanda then served India from 11 January 1966 to 24th January 1966.Indians chosen their fifth Prime Minister as Indira Gandhi who served the nation from 24th January 1966 to 24th March 1977.Morarji Desai was the 6th Prime Minister of India.he served our nation for 2 years from 24th March 1977 to 28 July 1979 . On 28th July 1979 Charan Singh got the opportunity to be the 7th Prime Minister of India. He served us from 28th July 1979 to 14th January 1980.Again on 14 Jan 1980 Indira Gandhi was selected as the 8th pm of India. She was on the post of pm for 4 years i. e. from 14th January 1980 to 31st October 1984.
