Tundra, coniferous forests, temperate grasslands, savannahs, deserts, tropical forests etc. make up the Terrestrial biomes. They are all found on land surface of the earth.

Aquatic biomes include water bodies on land surface as well as the oceans and is the largest biome. Rivers, lakes, oceans etc. come under Aquatic biomes. It may further be classified as salt water biomes and fresh water biomes.

Biomes are regions with similar climate and vegetation.

Some of the communities are Tundra, Desert or dunes, savanna and temperate grassland.

On the other side, the aquatic biomes are the community where any plant or animal live in water.

For eg: seaweed and algae.

Some of the examples are lakes or ponds, reef, oceanic vent, pelagic and benthic.
