1. A colloid appears to be homogeneous but actually it is heterogeneous.
2. The size of colloidal particles is bigger than the those of true solution but smaller than those in suspension.
3. It is between 1nm to 100nm in diameter.
4. The particles of collodial cannot be seen even with microscope.
5.The particles of colloiudal can pass through a filter paper, so colloidal cannot be separted by filtration.
6. A colloid scatters a beam of light passing through it
hence by all these reasons , colloidal solution is cateograised as HETEROGENEOUS.

We cannot see the collidal particle with naked eyes. But yhey can be scaterd by putting light on them when in a glass jar. The scattering of light is called tyndal effect. Hence collidal solution is homogenous solution.
