Colonial rule in India brought the following changes :
Introduction of democracy - Yes democracy was introduced by British. But we didnt elected any of them and who said “ you rule us.”
Poverty reduced- India was prosperous country already and had immense possibility to develop better then Britain . But they did just opposite.
Railway, steel indusry- industrial revolution started from Europe and spread over whole world but India being a part of british india got least opportunity to express itself because it has to fed uk(Britain).
Census - british started census in india to combat future uprising like revolt of 1857. So to rule over this vast country and give an impression to Indian that British government thinking of betterment of indian.
British also lived here to rule India with top positions in British Indian government, so they has to give low rank job to indians for there comfort.
Just think in this line… democracy today and British era.
