As we know in the paper, the laboratory stand and the results of mechanical reclamation of used foundry silica sands with bentonite and water glass binder, carried out at both extra-low (about minus 70 °C) and ambient temperatures, are presented. The obtained results were evaluated and compared with data taken from the foundry practice. The reclamation of used moulding sands regarded as a mean of recycling own foundry waste originating from the process of making castings is a problem of primary importance for every foundry plant and equally for the protection of natural environment.
