The river Dwarakeswar joins the river Silabati near Ghatal.
After the convergence of the two rivers, the new river formed is known as Rupnarayan.
The river Rupanarayan then joins the river Hooghly which is a main source of irrigation in West Bengal and then finally empties into Bay of Bengal.
