Summary of the poem "Come out with me" written by A. A Milne
- Extremely often we do not attend to the voice of the child. Perhaps we do not take the time to halt and think that the minor could have something to share with us. Similarly many times we say "run along", and by committing this, we can miss out on the natural wonders of life. Readers adored the piece and the feelings that it resulted in them this dismal afternoon. It prompts readers of when they were a child, and everything that they now carry for granted appeared so fresh and stunning.
- The child admires herself for seeing nature around her. She feels the breeze that hits the river and the hill. The water rotation and the mill seem to bring out her attention. She was also minutely examining the fly and the rabbit walking their path.
- The last stanza appears to bring setback to the child as nobody was ready to come out with her and with an outer show of admiration, turned down her request.
