a)Evaporation produce cooling.

Answer:- Evaporation produces cooling as particles at the surface of the liquid gain energy from the surrondings and change into vapour thereby producing a cooling effect...So,if the air is already rich in water vapour , it will not take up more water therefore rate of evaporation of water will decrease.

b)Sponge through compressible is a Solid.

Answer:- The sponge is compressible being a solid because of the presence of air cavities in it.

The sponge has numerous pores in it which can be referred to as air cavities, in which air is trapped and on compressing it comes out of the sponge. These pores are the reason why sponge can easily soak liquid into it .
