There are many rights that could be considered essential in a democratic state.
1. Equality Under Law:
A vital "protection under the law" is the right to vote. All people are fundamentally equal and thus welfare of each person is of equal importance to the society. The Government must be controlled through voting and the president must be periodically elected by the people.
2. Freedom Of Communication:
Free exchange of ideas is essential for full development and change of the society. Freedom of communication must be granted to all people since preventing a person from communicating that idea would block that idea.
3. Religious Equality:
A Governmental support of the religions makes the competition of religions uneven and thus may prevent the triumph of the best religion. the support must be both physical and verbal.
