Answer:

The Outcaste” is about an untouchable family in general and community struggles in particular. It reflects the conditions of a particular oppressed class, namely the Mahar community about half a century back and at the same time gives a true and realistic picture of the darker side of the Indian society.

Answer: The word outcast in history literature is used for the community which were considered

as "untouchables". The outcast is an autobiographical novel by Sharankumar Limbale which tells us about the discrimination author had to face as he was from Mahar community.

Explanation: He had to face discrimination in school in different form which he denoted as "politics" ( game politics, food politics).

Food politics: the outcast students were asked to sit seperately from upper caste students during lunch break. They did not have good food to eat, but upper cast students brought varities of tasty food. After lunch teacher asked the upper caststudents to collect their leftovers and give it to lower caste students. Upper caste students makes fun of them. But their attention was only on those leftovers because they had never tasted such delicious food.

Conclusion: This shows that how lower community which were also called outcaste had to face discrimination not only in games, jobs, education but also in basic requirement of human life which is food. Their reach from good food was so far, they had to eat leftovers of upper caste students, this shows how miserable their life were at that time. They had to face all this from their childhood.
