The story A face in the dark is a story written by Ruskin Bond. The story takes place in a forest on a evening. When Mr Oliver was returning from the town where there was the Shimla Bazar ,with its cinemas and restaurants about 3 km from the school, he took a short cut from the forest.
Mr Oliver experiences an uncanny experience when we sees a boy with his head hung down on his arms like in a crying position. When Mr Oliver asks the boy to raise his head he realises his face was featureless!
Ruskin Bond thought of these ways of horror stories.
The forest had tress making eerie sound and torch light flickering in the dark. All these add to the supernatural content to he story
