The story A face in the dark is a story written by Ruskin Bond. The story takes place in a forest on a evening. When Mr Oliver was returning from the town where there was the Shimla Bazar ,with its cinemas and restaurants about 3 km from the school, he took a short cut from the forest.
Mr Oliver experiences an uncanny experience when we sees a boy with his head hung down on his arms like in a crying position. When Mr Oliver asks the boy to raise his head he realises his face was featureless!

Then he starts running away from him and clashes with a watchman of the school and  alas! he too was having  featureless face!
