The condition of the workers during the early phase of the Industrial Revolution was miserable. There was a long line of people who were willing to work in the factories. So the employers could set the wages at the lowest possible rate. The people were ready to do work as long as they got the payment. They had to work in bad conditions. Even children were forced to work. Young girls worked in match factories.
