i ) Himalayan rivers have large basins.

ii. Many of them make spectacular gorges.

iii. They are perennial in nature.

iv. They perform intensive erosional activities upstream and carry large amount of load of sand and silt.

v. In plains they iluw forming large meanders due to gentle scope.

vi. They form numerous depositional features like flood plain, river bluffs and levees.

1) Most of these rivers are perennial in nature i.e. they have water through out the year.

2) They receive water from rain as well as the melted snow from the mountains.

3)Himalayan rivers cover long routes before falling into the sea.

4) They cut through mountains making gorges.

5) In the middle and lower courses, these rivers form meander, ox bow lakes and other depositional features.

6) They also have well developed deltas.
