Communication satellites in the space around Earth are used for telecommunication between two locations on Earth. These satellites have payloads which are electronic instruments/equipment with circuits.
Satellites do not have enough energy by themselves to go into the sky into the orbit. The rockets have a lot of fuel and have advanced burning techniques that gives them enough energy and velocity to go against the gravity. They are instructed and programmed to go to the Geostationary orbits or other low orbits. Then they are programmed to adjust themselves by firing small rockets to the precise location.
