There are only four cities in India with 'good' air quality, of which two are in Kerala. Eloor, a suburb of Kochi in Kerala, recorded the best air quality with an AQI of 25. Eloor is followed by Thane near Mumbai (AQI 45), Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala (AQI 49) and Kota in Rajasthan (AQI 50).

The comparison between the air quality index of Delhi and Sikkim is given below:
- Sikkim is an Indian state located in the laps of the Himalayas.
- The population density in Sikkim is far lower than that in Delhi.
- Due to this, there is a lesser number of vehicles that contribute to air pollution in Sikkim.
- Delhi on the other hand is an industrial hub with many factories that emit harmful gasses.
- That is why the average AQI of Sikkim is 53 and of Delhi is around 280.
