Akbar was 13 years old when he ascended the throne in 1956. Jahangir was 35 when he ascended the throne after the passing away of Akbar. Akbar was the third Mughal emperor whereas Jahangir was the 4th Mughal emperor. Akbar had a great respect for Chisthi, a revered sage by whose blessings was Jahangir born to him.
