In the play, "Merchant of Venice"; Belmont and Venice are two different settings. They both are two totally different scenarios.

Venice is a city center and trading hub while Belmont is a quiet town by the countryside. Venice experiences hustle all the time, whereas Belmont is peaceful and serene.

Venice is a tourist attraction while Belmont can become a secret resort for relaxation.

Answer:

Venice is a completely different setting compared with Belmont.

But also the characters in Venice are different and similar to the ones in Belmont.

Explanation:

Venice is a city which is allocated on the sea coast in the north of Italy.

the society of Venice is entirely different from the society of Belmont. This may be because Veniceis the centre of trading which means that the society is use to earning their money by starting a business in trading. It also is very busy and full of young merchants like Antonio. In contrast, the society in Belmont is very wealthy. However, unlike the society of Venice, the wealth is inherited
