Hey

In the modern periodic table, the elements are arranged in order of increasing atomic number.

Whereas...

In Mendeleev's table, they were arranged in order of increasing atomic weight.

The gaps in Mendeleev's have been filled by the elements that were discovered.

Thanks!!

In modern periodic table the position of nickel and cobalt was correct while in Mendeleev's periodic table does not.
In modern periodic table the elements were arranged in increasing atomic number while in Mendeleev periodic table the elements were arranged in increasing atomic mass.
