Compare functioning of alveoli in the lungs and nephrons in the kidneys with respect to their structure

Alveoli are the air sacs which are balloon like structures present in lungs . they help in gaseous exchange of gases in lungs .
on the other hand , nephrons are the long tubules which helps in the formation of urine and purification of blood.

alveoli's,s function in lung is a to increase the surface area for gaseous exchange it is composed of many bronchial which help in the gaseous exchange. In kidney nephron is the functional and structural unit of kidney which is also a filtration unit
