Grassland, area in which the vegetation is dominated by a nearly continuous cover of grasses. Grasslands occur in environments conducive to the growth of this plant cover but not to that of taller plants, particularly trees and shrubs. The factors preventing establishment of such taller, woody vegetation are varied.

Answer:

Grassland are the regions dominated by grasses. There aren't too many trees and shrubs here. Grasslands plants usually have a flexible stem that bend instead of breaking when the wind is strong . These plants also have strong roots that prevent winds from uprooting them

Deserts are the areas that receive a very little rainfall . plants have developed adaptations to survive in the hot and dry climate of the deserts . many plants have long roots that go deep into the soil in search of water. many deserts animals and insects stay deep underground burrows during the day to escape from the heat e.g- Kangaroo rat
