The key difference(s) between Plant and Animal tissues are:

–Plants tissues are able to manufacture their own food and they do not need to reply on others for the production of food in their internal system, whereas animal tissues will depend on external sources for the production of food (energy)

–There is a basic difference in the tissue structure with regards to cellular membrane, plastids (absent in animal cells) etc.

–Plant tissues are very much confined to growing at one place only, i.e. stationary growth- whereas animal tissues will move around to harness their growth potential (dynamic growth)
