In Solids - The particles are tightly packed and there is no interparticle space between them. ... In liquids - The particles are not so tightly packed and they have interparticle space between them.

solid- inter particle space minimum as the atoms are closely packed

liquid- inter particle space more than solid as the atoms are loosely packed

force of attraction:-

solid-high force of attraction between atoms

liquid- force of attraction less than solid
