2. Owner lives in a main village and travels to the farm every day.


3. Due to inadequate supply of water and fertile soil, farmers have to purchase high yielding variety (HYV) seeds from market every year.The farmer takes the help of technology and sends the soil samples to a soil testing lab to check whether the nutrients are sufficient or not.

4. The farmer takes a tractor on rent, and many still rely on traditional bullocks for ploughing the land.

There are lots of difference between the farming of US and India. They are as follows : -

1. In India, about 80% of people are involved in farming but in USA very few people are involved in farming.

2. The area of farm in India are small in size (2-3 hectares) and in USA the size of farm is around 200 hectares.

3. Farmers in India are mostly uneducated or having basic education in village schools, whereas in USA farmers are well educated.

4. In India, farmers use to do most of the work manually which is known as 'labor intensive'. Whereas in USA most of the work is done by using heavy and advanced machines which is called as 'capital intensive'.

5. In India, farming is dependent on weather and they are abled to grow 2-3 types of crops in a year. But in USA, farmers use scientific techniques like soil testing, etc., and grow multiple crops throughout the year.

6. US farmlands give greater yields when compared to Indian farmlands.
