DIFFRANCE BETWEEN EAST FLOWING AND WEST DLOWING RIVERS

THE RIVERS WHICH FLOW TO WEST ARE SHORT AND SWIFT.THEY DONT CARRY MUCH SADIMENTS AND HENCE DELTA ARE NOT FORMED ALONG THE COAST.HOWEVER LOGOONS CAN BE FOUND AT THE WESTERN COAST OF INDIA

ON THE OTHER HAND EAST FLOWING RIVERS ARE HUGE IN SIZE CARRYINF LOT OF SADIMENTS THEY DIPOSIT THEM ALONG THR COAST AND DELTAS ARE FORMED AT THE EASTERN COAST I.E BAY OF BENGAL. THIS CAULD BE THE REASON ALSO WHY THERE ARE FEWER PORTS AT EASTERN COAST

East Flowing rivers are the ones which drain into bay of Bengal, tributries are large, make deltas and eg. Godavri and west flowing tigers are the ones which drain into Arabian sea, tributries are short and make estuaries and eg. is River Narmada or Tapi
