THE FOLLOWING DIFFERENCES MUST BE POINTED OUT TO POINT OUT THE  DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NATURAL AND SYNTHETIC FIBRES AND WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THEM BASED ON THEIR CHARACTERISTICS:-

1. WATER ABSORPTION CAPACITY

a) Natural fibres:-they have a high water absorption capacity and thus take time to dry out.

b) Synthetic fibres:-they  have a low water absorption capacity and thus dry out easily.

2.WRINKLING PROPERTY

a)Natural  fibres:-natural fibres get exposed to wrinkles easily if they are not kept with upmost care and can even get damaged  which will cause a bad effect on the look and appearance of the cloth.

b)Synthetic fibres:-synthetic fibres do not easily get exposed to wrinkles because they are made in such a way that they have the capacity of resistance against the wrinkle causing factors that might be present in the environment.

3.WEIGHT

Natural fibres are heavier in comparison to synthetic fibres as being lightweight is one of the properties of synthetic fibres

4.COST

Natural fibres are quite expensive as compared to synthetic fibres because  the method of obtaining the synthetic fibres is very long

5.ELASTICITY

Synthetic fibres have good elasticity as compared to natural fibres and natural fibres sometimes shrink due to aggressive washing

6.TENSILE STRENGTH

When talking about tensile strength, synthetic fibres have more tensile strength in comparison to natural fibres

eg: nylon is the strongest fibre
