KE=Psquare/2M
 KE is inversly proportional to mass.  2 bodies of same momemtum but different masses then the larger mass has less KE and the smaller mass has more KE. x^{2}

Kinetic energy of two objects of mass 10kg and 50 kg is in the ratio 5:1.

Explanation:

Compare the kinetic energies of 2 objects of masses 10 kg and 50 kg respectively but having same momentum

Kinetic energy is directly proportional to the mass of the object and to the square of its velocity.

KE = 1/2*m*v^2

The unit of kinetic energy is kilograms-meters squared per second squared.

Let us take two objects of mass 10 kg and 50 kg. Since momentum is constant, p = mv.

V1 = p/10

V2 = p/50

KE1 = 1/2 * 10 * (p/10)^2 = 0.05p

KE2 = 1/2 * 50 * (p/50)^2 = 0.01p

KE1 : KE2 :: 5 : 1

Kinetic energy of two objects of mass 10kg and 50 kg is in the ratio 5:1.
