The same power will use in 2ohm resistor in both (a) and (b) circuits.

Explanation:

(a)The equivalent resistance and voltage in circuit (a) will be:

R = 2+1 = 3 ohm

V = 6V

I = 6/3 = 2A

P = (2)^2×2 = 8W ……. (i)

(b) The voltage across both the resistors will be 4V because they both are in parallel so, the current through 2ohm resistor will be

I = 4/2 = 2A

P = (2)^2×2 = 8W ……. (ii)

Form equation (i) and (ii) it is cleared that same power will be used in both circuits in 2 ohm resistor.
