March- May: Pretty much the same; hot and humid

June- Sept: It rains in Mumbai due to the South West Monsoon winds, which cover most of the country. Thus the weather is wet and usually damp.

In Chennai, the weather is cooler than before but no rains since Chennai is on the rain shadow side of the Eastern Ghats.

Oct- Jan: Cooler weather in Mumbai. In Chennai, it rains since the North East Retreating winds, coming from the Bay of Bengal, bring rainfall to the city. This time around, only Chennai and the coastal region receives rainfall since they lie on the windward side of the mountain range.
