Explanation:

Given Compare the rates of emission of heat by black body at 727°C and 227°C.If the black body is surrounded by enclosure (black) at 27 degree Celsius, what would be the ratio of their rates of loss of heat?

  • Temperature of first black body = 727 + 273 = 1000 K
  • Temperature of second black body = 227 + 273 500 k
  • Also temperature of surrounding = 27 + 273 = 300 k
  • Rate of loss of heat is directly proportional to the difference in temperature of the black body ans the surrounding.
  • So first body P = 1000 – 300 = 700
  • So second body P1 = 500 – 300 = 200
  • Therefore ratio will be 700 / 200 = 7/2

                                                  = 7 : 2
