Himalayas are young fold mountains and plateau is a old landmass in form of table land, it is elevated landmass.
Himalayas are in Northern parts of India,whereas Plateaus are in western parts and in eastern parts of India.
Himalayas are snow capped mountains,the rivers of it flow throughout the year whereas the plateaus aren't snow capped they are seasonal,the dont flow throughout the year.
