Answer:

XYLEM

Structure-:

1) They're generally tubular.

2) Xylem are composed of four different types of cells- Tracheids, Vessels, Xylem Parenchyma and Xylem fibre (or sclerenchyma)

3)) Except the Xylem Parenchyma all other three cells are dead and lignified.

Function-:

1) Xylem is a conductive and mechanical tissue.

2) It also serves as a storage cell for food and helps in lateral conduction of water.

3) Conduction is usually unidirectional.

PHLOEM

Structure-:

1) Like xylem they're also tubular.

2) Phloem is also composed of four different cells- Sieve tubes, Companion cells, Phloem Parenchyma and Phloem Fibre.

3) Except Phloem Fibre all other three cells are living.

Function-:

1) Phloem is also a conductive tissue but unlike xylem it doesn't provides any mechanical support.

2) Phloem transports photosynthetically prepared food materials all over the plant.

3) Conduction is bidirectional.

Hope it helps!
